Greenbrier Outfitters Covid-19 Response

Our thoughts go out to the families who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we honor the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation and have developed best practices to maximize your safety as a guest of Broadmoor Outfitters.

In light of the facts concerning Coronavirus (COVID-19), Greenbrier Outfitters has altered our operating procedures.

Beginning  immediately, we have implemented the practices and protocols outlined below.

We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking steps to ensure the safety of our guests and associates. Greenbrier Outfitters has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization and the Greenbrier County Department of Public Health statements regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In response to this crisis, Greenbrier Outfitters is taking the following steps:

Outdoor Check In. Whenever possible, all activity check in will be handled outdoors. Studies show being outdoors, in fresh air, is a strong mitigation tool for the spread of Covid-19.

Cleaning and disinfecting protocols. On a daily basis we disinfect all areas that our guests may visit. This includes all common areas in the shop, our vans, helmets and bikes. Sanitation will be completed using a 80% alcohol solution, CDC approved, hard surface cleaner.

Transportation. We have reduced the max. guests in a 15 passenger van by 45% to 8. This will allow you to practice improved social distancing.

Private Tours. If you have a group of 8 or more, we will offer private tours – with a van dedicated to your group. Please contact us for details.

Guest Certification. All Guests will be asked to certify that they have been Covid-19 symptom free for the proceeding 48 hours.

Other items. Many of our activities require personal safety equipment. For instance, you will be required to wear a helmet on the climbing and  tours. We will disinfect those helmets after each use. If guests are uncomfortable using this equipment, they are encourages to bring a thin beanie or buff which they can use as a barrier between the helmet and their hair.

We are committed to help guests find a solution to help them feel safe using our approved safety equipment. Don’t hesitate to give us a call and discuss any concerns.
