FALCONRY COCKTAIL HOUR During your cocktail hour, falconers and birds will mingle with guests and talk about the natural history of the birds. They can discuss the history of falconry and conduct a flying demonstration if possible. We can staff indoor or outdoor events! PRIVATE 1-HR DEMONSTRATION Don’t have time during your cocktail hour? Reserve a private lesson just for the members of your group. During this private hour, your guests will have a chance to spend time with our falconer and several birds. Typically, your guests will have a chance to see hawks, falcons and owls at our flying field. This option is great for larger groups who want an intro to Falconry. BEGINNER’S LESSON  The lesson begins with a flying demonstration and a chance to learn about the fascinating history of this sport. Then, you will be transported to our mews where you will meet the rest of our birds. After learning the appropriate techniques from our professional guides, you will get to hold a trained hawk on your fist. This lesson is truly a once in a lifetime experience! Have you ever thrown a traditional tomahawk? Try your hand while being cheered on by your colleagues! The Tomahawk Toss is exciting for both participants and observers. Guests will get a short explanation from their guides and a chance to sink the tomahawk in the target. They can throw one or keep coming back until they master the skill. The Aerial Adventure Park beckons you to stretch, claw, pull and scramble your up, around and over a variety of challenges. Try the Alpine Tower and experience standing at the top of this tower, looking over the edge at the ground 50 feet below and realizing you were able to overcome your fear and climb higher. Want to try something new, clip in and navigate the 12 elements, and free fall in our new Adventure Course. Our Alpine Tower is probably the largest jungle gym you’ve ever seen, and presents a challenge for anyone who takes it on. Is a member of your group a little apprehensive? That’s all right; there’s a job for everyone. Some participants will belay, others will spot, but everyone who wants to climb will get the chance. This activity is suitable for participants of all ages. When you sign up for a climb, be prepared for the time of your life. While the tower might look intimidating, don’t worry about safety. Our staff is highly skilled in safety procedures and our equipment is inspected regularly. We take every precaution to avoid injuries. The Adventure Course is our newest offering. During this 2.5-3 hour experience, participants will navigate 12 challenges, all 45-50 feet in the air. These challenges can be completed alone or in a group. Once each participant is harnessed up, are clipped onto the course and the fun begins. At the end participants will have the chance to exit by being clipped into our free fall device for the ultimate rush. That’s right…actually WALK on fire! Sound impossible? Then get ready to make the impossible a reality. This is truly an unforgettable event. Your group will see and experience that one’s beliefs about fire and human flesh don’t always apply. Our expert fire walk trainer will take you through a real and lasting journey as you learn to extinguish limiting beliefs and allow the formerly impossible to become possible. Empowerment will take on a whole new definition as you walk barefooted across several feet of live, glowing coals. Explore The Greenbrier or surrounding communities in a whole new way in our app based team adventure. This interactive activity is perfect for groups large or small. Our custom app utilizes your phone’s camera and video functions in order to complete challenges around the hotel premises. Some of these challenges include taking a picture or video while some challenges require more interaction. There are three staffed challenges that allow teams to earn additional points. Uncover the history that surrounds you as you follow clues and solve riddles that make The Greenbrier a unique functioning museum. The Great Greenbrier Chase allows guests to challenge one another as individual teams or work together to accomplish the 35+ challenges spanning all corners of the resort. Questions are given to groups in a random order, allowing the group members to prioritize and determine their desired route. Each team will select a unique route, however they frequently see each other along the way, adding to the competitive nature of the event. See what the competition is up to with a live feed leaderboard and real time feedback from Greenbrier Outfitters staff. Join one of our guides as we discuss the flora and fauna prevalent in the mountains surrounding The Greenbrier. Settle in for a delicious box lunch or relax with a briskly paced nature walk. Three levels of trails ranging from leisurely to aggressive are found close to The Greenbrier property.  Whichever option you choose, our flexible and knowledgeable guides will work overtime to make sure you have a great time. Come experience a leisure, scenic tour around The Greenbrier with our pedal-assisted e-bikes! This tour is a nontechnical bike ride through the neighborhoods surrounding The Greenbrier with a professional guide showing you the best views and sharing the local history. You will be pedaling up and down the rolling hills on paved roads around the property for approximately 1.5-2 hours. Looking for more adventure? Spend a couple of hours riding the off road trails surrounding The Greenbrier on our Trek, full suspension, mountain e-bikes. Increase your communication with this hands on activity! Bridging the gap between a team and its success has never been more fun. In this challenging exercise, teams will actually build large-scale bridges using real lumber and supplies. The group is broken into teams and given the task to build a bridge meeting certain specifications and using only the materials given. The twist? Each team only builds half of the bridge.
